Eskimo Joe to headline Carnival of Cups in Albury
Albury is preparing for another massive night of racing and entertainment, with Australian rock favourites Eskimo Joe announced as the headline act for the 2027 Carnival of Cups at the Albury Harness Racing Club on Friday, February 12.
The multi-ARIA Award-winning band will lead an outstanding line-up that also features legendary rock outfit Dragon, winner of The Voice Australia Kesha Neve, and local favourites Liam Dalby and Lucey.
Now entering its fourth season, the Carnival of Cups has become one of the most anticipated events on the Border's summer calendar, combining elite harness racing with a free, family-friendly music festival experience.
Albury has set the standard throughout the first three years of the Carnival of Cups, attracting enormous crowds and creating an atmosphere that has helped establish the series as one of regional Australia's great sporting and entertainment experiences.
Organisers are again anticipating a bumper crowd in the vicinity of 8,000 people trackside for what promises to be another unforgettable night.
The 2027 event will once again be proudly supported by travla and the Albury SS&A Club, whose ongoing commitment has played an important role in the event's success.
With FREE general admission tickets, the Carnival of Cups provides an opportunity for the entire community to enjoy some of Australia's biggest musical acts alongside thrilling harness racing action.
There will also be a range of free activities for children and families, ensuring entertainment for all ages throughout the evening.
For those seeking an elevated experience, the popular Carnival Crib will return, offering a premium trackside hospitality experience with exclusive facilities and a fantastic view of the action.
On the track, the headline will be the prestigious SS&A Murray Cup, which has been boosted to a $100,000 feature. It will also serve as the final leg of the lucrative bonus series, with points earned in the SS&A Murray Cup to determine who takes home the $100,000 on offer.
The program will also include a Fast Pass qualifier for the TAB Regional Championships State Final, adding another exciting dimension to the racing program as competitors chase a coveted place in one of the state's major championship events.
The Carnival of Cups will form part of a huge summer of entertainment for the Albury Harness Racing Club, which will also once again host the city's time-honoured New Year's Eve fireworks display.
The combination of these major community events further reinforces the club's position as one of the Border region's premier sporting and entertainment destinations.
Harness Racing NSW is looking forward to building on the extraordinary success of the Carnival of Cups in Albury, where the community has embraced the concept of bringing world-class entertainment and elite racing together in one spectacular evening.
With Eskimo Joe and Dragon leading a stellar musical line-up, outstanding local talent, free family activities and some of the best harness racing in the state, the 2027 Carnival of Cups is shaping as another must-attend event.
